About the Photographer

Renowned for his expressive documentary and cultural photography, Bahram Bayat (born 1996 in Zanjan, Iran) has established himself as one of the most active and awarded photographers of his generation. Over the course of his career, he has taken part in more than 50 national and international group exhibitions and has earned over 150 awards from prestigious photography competitions around the world.

An active member of the Iranian Photographers Society and the Iranian Cultural Heritage Photographers Association, Bayat also shares his expertise as a photography instructor and mentor at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS). His dedication to the craft has positioned him as both a creator and educator in the Iranian and international photography community.

Among his most distinguished honors are the First Prize at the Agora Images International Photography Competition in Spain, a FIAP Gold Medal at the “Philharmonia” International Photography Festival in Kyrgyzstan, and a Silver Honor Distinction from the WPE International Photography Awards in France. He has also been recognized in national festivals, including Second Place at the 4th Iranian TV Documentary Photography Festival and the Best Single Photograph Award at the 5th Iranian National TV Documentary Festival.

One of Bayat’s most celebrated works, the photograph Ashiq Fattah, earned him a $1,000 award from Agora and later received the Silver Honor distinction at an international photography event in Paris. In 2024, Bahram Bayat further expanded his recognition by showcasing two works at the 16th Fajr Festival of Visual Arts, underscoring his continuing contribution to the field of contemporary photography.
