About the Photographer
Keith Dutill, a nature photographer based in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, is known for his abstract and contemporary seascape projects along the coastal regions of the United States. Originally trained as a trial lawyer, Dutill discovered photography over twenty years ago as a way to step away from the pressures of his profession and reconnect with the natural world. What began as a periodic escape soon became a lifelong pursuit that reshaped the way he observes, interprets, and shares his experiences.
His work reflects a deep commitment to exploring the harmony, beauty, and transcendence found in nature. Through careful composition and patient observation, Dutill captures seascapes that reveal both the fragility and resilience of creation. For him, the process of making images is not simply visual but also spiritual, an effort to convey the profound order and meaning present in the natural world.
Influenced by the words of Elizabeth Barrett Browning—“Earth’s crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God”—Keith Dutill seeks to create photographs that invite viewers into a reality beyond the ordinary. His images tell stories without words, offering a vision of truth, beauty, and goodness that emerges from the landscapes he photographs.
