About the Photographer
Originally from Fontana Liri in southern Italy, Giorgio Salemme is a street photographer with a keen and sensitive eye for everyday details, familiar faces, and quiet suburban landscapes. His visual approach is shaped by his upbringing and rooted in a strong connection to his origins.
After earning a degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone, Giorgio Salemme lived and studied in Warsaw, an experience that broadened his cultural and artistic perspective. This period also led to exhibitions at the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz and the Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris.
His work is driven by both a deep attachment to place and a curiosity for discovering new environments. While street photography remains central to his practice, he also explores visual experimentation and video art—an area that earned him selection in several small film festivals and the video section award at Artkeys 04 in 2022.
