About the Photographer
Rooted in both medicine and the arts, Anne Travis balances her career as a physician with a growing passion for photography. Her interest in the medium deepened after a 2016 trip to Southern Africa, where she discovered wildlife photography, and later flourished when she moved to Northern California, surrounded by striking landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Drawing inspiration from the Mayacamas Mountains, the valleys of Sonoma, and the wildlife that inhabits them, Anne Travis captures moments of light, movement, and quiet beauty. Her work often features wildlife portraits and landscapes, while her explorations in pictorial and black-and-white photography allow her to see the familiar through new perspectives.
Although still new to sharing her images publicly, she is enthusiastic about offering viewers a glimpse of the natural world she feels fortunate to experience each day.
