About the Photographer
Based in Hong Kong, Frank Chan is a fine art photographer and banking executive whose artistic vision contrasts with the intensity of city life. While his professional career demands precision and decisiveness, his photography gravitates toward stillness, symmetry, and tranquil imagery—qualities that define much of his work.
Specializing in panoramic long exposure photography, Frank Chan reimagines iconic urban and natural landscapes with architectural clarity and a pursuit of calm. Using a medium format Hasselblad system, he creates museum-grade archival prints in limited editions of eight, each signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
His ongoing series Icon represents his most developed body of work, portraying landmarks from Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor to Japan’s Lake Toya in moments of quiet grandeur. Prior to focusing on fine art, Chan gained recognition in commercial photography—working with one of Hong Kong’s leading wedding studios, founding a top-ranked newborn photography studio, and establishing a commercial practice serving international lifestyle, fashion, and hospitality brands.
