About the Photographer
Jean-David N’Da is an art photographer, designer and author based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. A self-taught artist influenced by creators such as Saul Leiter, Michael Kenna and J Dilla, he develops an eclectic photographic style—happily boring, slightly melancholic and deliberately disengaged. His work is, above all, an autotelic practice that evokes universal emotions including love, solitude, nostalgia, hope and freedom.
In addition to his photographic projects, Jean-David N’Da creates wall art, runs a small gallery where he exhibits his work, and publishes personally expressive photo books and photo essays.
